Solar Generators

We've had (and still have) gas generators but we're making the transition to solar. Why? They're quiet (won't draw attention), clean for indoor use and require no gas or oil which could be hard to obtain in an emergency. Bluetti and Jackery are standouts and we have listed our favorites below.

BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 — Portable Backup Power for Outages & Camping

  • 2,073.6 Wh of battery capacity. Keep essentials like lights, phones, and a Wi-Fi router running during an outage. Runtime depends on what you plug in.

  • Four AC outlets with 2,600 W of continuous output. The 120 V outlets share the pure sine wave inverter’s total output. Power Lifting mode supports select resistive loads rated up to 3,900 W.

  • 0–80% recharge in about 50 minutes. The advertised fast-charge time requires combined AC and DC input. The unit also supports wall, vehicle, and solar charging, with up to 1,000 W of solar input from compatible panels.

  • LiFePO₄ battery rated for 6,000+ cycles. BLUETTI rates the battery to retain 80% of its original capacity after more than 6,000 charge cycles.

  • Nine output ports. In addition to the four AC outlets, you get two USB-C ports rated up to 100 W each, two USB-A ports, and one 12 V outlet.

  • Power devices while recharging. Pass-through charging lets you keep devices connected, and the BLUETTI app lets you monitor the unit over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

  • Know the size before you pack it. The unit measures about 13.8 × 9.8 × 12.7 inches, weighs 53.4 pounds, and carries a five-year warranty from BLUETTI.
